Looking at Mango Studio’s gallery online is like flipping through a bridal magazine. With soft hues and elegant editorial-style photographs, they’ve captured our hearts.
Founded in 2004 by duo Mo & Nancy, Mango Studios have now evolved into a tight-knight team of 14 photographers. They are currently one of Toronto’s largest wedding photography studios.
The great part about having a big team is that they are able to cater to bigger weddings, in case you need more than 2-3 photographers. Another advantage would be the fact that they would be able to accommodate more weddings during the peak season.
One thing that stands unique to Mango Studios is that for every couple that comes on board, they assign an in-house event coordinator who has a background in wedding planning. This coordinator will help guide you and to make sure your experience with the studio is smooth and easy.
The coordinator also takes the time to understand you as a couple and helps to pair you with a suited photographer for you. If you prefer to choose the photographer yourself, you may do so as well.
The icing on the cake for us is the Mango Experience, which is a photo reveal session that takes place in their state-of-the-art presentation theatre. This is a chance to gather family and friends all over again to relive the magic that took place during the wedding.
Mango Studios adheres to industry standards of photo turnaround in 4-6 weeks.
Through their website, we came to know that the starting pricing point for wedding packages is $3,500. There is very little information about what is included in this package.
A couple of patrons who have visited their office for an initial meeting also mentioned waiting for a long time before a representative came out to see them and take the meeting.

Calin Ardeleanu is an award-winning wedding photographer of several photography awards. He was also the judge of the wedding photography contest held by the organization Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada.
We’re big fans of his photojournalistic photography style which makes everything look so organic.
This means that while you’re getting ready, during the ceremonies, or when you’re having intimate moments with your close ones—he will not be disturbing you. This method works well especially for those who are camera shy.
The only time he will be directing you is during portraits—and even this, he does with such ease. The same applies to his lead photographer and second shooter, Ali.
As for the price range, Calin charges $2999 for a 10-hour wedding for 1 photographer. He also has a package of $3999 for a 12-hour wedding for 2 photographers and an engagement shoot.
Any additional time beyond the agreed period is chargeable at $300 per hour. This might be a problem considering all the hiccups and delays that usually happen at weddings.
If you’re looking for additional discounts, Calin does not budge. However, he offers a 10% referral fee for every successful referral.
Calin is also one of the very few photographers in town who will happily give you the digital negatives of your photos, should you need them. This comes at an additional fee of $1000.
The great thing about Calin and his team is that they do not upsell packages. They offer you only what they think is fit for you.
After the ceremony, it takes 10 – 12 weeks for the turnaround of the photographs. This is slightly longer as compared to most of the photographers we have encountered.

Getting a company that does both photography and videography is an advantage. Especially for couples looking for a cohesive look in their photos and videos.
Another thing we liked is their relatively fast turnaround time. The average turnaround time for photographers in Toronto is about 6 weeks, with them it takes 1 month for finished wedding photos.
While most photographers have their own unique style, Tara Weddings work with a big team and are able to cater to different kinds of weddings, depending on your preference.
We also appreciate that they have special packages for destination weddings where they don’t just cover the wedding but also offer extended coverage for moments around the location you’d like to memorialize.
As per the packages, clients can get videography, photography, or a combination of both. They usually range from $4,400 to $9,600. This might sound relatively pricier as to the other companies on our list, but we think it is a reasonable package considering they are offering both video and photo in this price range.
We only wish that this was an all-inclusive price point so that budgeting can be easier. Tax and travel fees are charged on top of their package rates.

One of the weddings that they were working with experienced a sudden blackout. Even then, Bruna and Ryan managed to take beautiful photos of the ceremony in the dark.
The way albums are presented is just as important as how beautiful the photographs are taken. That’s why Luminous Weddings offers their guests one of the most luxurious albums, hand-made all the way in Italy.
With starting prices from $3,000 to $4,500, Luminous Weddings priced themselves very competitively. Not everyone though has the luxury of having them as their Wedding Photographer.

Diego and Liza Photography is not a cookie-cutter photographer. What’s great about them is that they never stop shooting to ensure they capture all the candid moments and raw emotions.
Unlike other photographers, they love to experiment. They play with lights and shadows, reflections, and different angles and then deliver you all the moments you expect, plus many more that you don’t.
What’s great about them is that they do not settle until they found the winning shot of the event. The first thing they do the next morning is that they sift through the thousands of images they have captured to see the photo that will sure make the bride and grrom surprised.
We prefer them over others because they can make their clients feel comfortable enough to capture raw and relaxed photos to make it more natural looking.

YR Miroshnyk Photography provides one of the most memorable wedding pictures in Toronto. A little known fact about their founder is that Yuliia is an experienced photographer in Ukraine that enjoys traveling, meeting interesting people, and outdoor activities.
They provide a total of six wedding package plans. The most basic package includes a pre-photoshoot consultation, an average of 300 edited and retouched images, a protected online gallery High resolution / Ready to print files. Their images can be expected to be delivered within 20 days.
Yuliia also provides mentoring services which are done via zoom. Yuliia will show you how to attract and book ideal customers, how to lead couples, how to work with lighting, how to pick a venue, and how to examine your portfolio and/or website. Furthermore, Yulliia can assist you with any queries you may have and provide appropriate comments. You select what you want to focus on, what you want to improve the most, and you both can work with it.
